New Hope

New Hope

There is sadness in our hearts
For we no longer know the true meaning of love.
Of what it is to breathe a while,
And to let life live by its own tide
There is no hope, I tend to think
In a world where innocence is lost in a wink.

There is no hope, I tend to think.

Millenium's we lived,
Stars we reached,
Yet for boundaries and bridges,
We are still ready to just kill.
But when I see,
A child share his sweet
With one that is less fortunate
My heart has new hope, new hope to believe.

Our progressive society without much care,
Seems to deprive our children
Of snow clad mountains and a breathful of fresh air
But when I see a child plant a tree
Overlooked by guardians who feel like me
My heart has new hope, new hope of relief.

Is there some hope for a world
Which has lost its own I ask
My answer lies in the hearts of each one
Each one of us needs a new hope.

Goodbye Sunshine...

Today they come to take my first love away,
To show the auditors they say.
Tears well up, there is a lump in my throat
A painful adieu ,heartfelt gratitude,
To My M800, My Sunshine, my friend.

Ind v/s Aus Day 3 , Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore

Yup! I was there! And the innings was a complete entertainer. The crowd was fantastic and Harbhajan's innings had us applauding throughout. Even every defensive stroke was appreciated. It is better than getting out right! We walked into the stadium when India was 147/4 ,with Dravid and Ganguly at the wickets ,and walked out when Kumble came in to bat. Well, fair enough right? I was busy recording close to 40 video on my SE C702 and Brett Lee was'nt too far from sight ;-)

Worth of the MBA degree-Article

On my usual rapid readings of myriad articles, I found an interesting one about a topic I follow intently. The MBA phenomenon. Here is the link to it.

A good look at the comments section quite opens up the topic for debate on various fronts.

The Return back to Reality!

As I promised here is the final of the 3 part description of my ooty road trip with my friends......

After exactly 24 hrs of stay in Ooty, we finally filled up the fuel tank in preparation for our journey back to Bangalore. Once we reached the city limits we were directed by the police to a different direction than the one we had arrived Ooty at. It was the state highway bypassing the Kalatti Ghats. The journey time is increased by an hour but the experience of passing through lush green tea gardens and tall eucalyptus trees as old as time covered by an umbrella of fog is simply, amazing!

The scenic country side and the winding roads make one stand still while time passes by.
The Tea Gardens make you want to run through them
The highway goes via Pykara Boat House. We did not have the chance to stop there, maybe next time. The route converges with the origional route directly at Mudumulai. So if you were planning to stop for lunch at all the resorts you saw while heading towards Ooty, they no longer fall in your path.

Mudumulai bid us farewell with heavy showers. Well, now the trip had it all. Sun,Fog,Rain. we were happy that hail did not break our windshield! After a challenging drive throught the forest we finally entered the bamboo forests of Bandipur followed by speedy drive upto JungleLodges. Stay longer 5th gear. The steady rain kept us company. A very late lunch was finally had at the JungleLodges , bandipur. From then on it was a quite drive upto Mysore road. Coffee at CCD at 6pm finally made us realise that the road trip had come to an end. Sigh. I was completely in favour of starting the engine and heading back. But as the saying goes, blah blah.

All in all, this trip truly turned out to be one of the best road trips I have done so far. Somehow , everything just magically fell into place. How nice it is when that happens. How rare it is that it happens!

The reminiscing never stops.

Rejuevenated. Refreshed. Road trip.
